 Strong rain was falling with the squall peculiar to Southeast Asia on that day when I was staying in capital Bangkok of Thailand for business, and I was waiting for a signal turn
green light in autumn of 1993 in order to cross as Sukhumvit Rd which is the trunk road in Bangkok. And since the signal turned
green light, when it was going to cross a pedestrian crossing, the accident in which there was front
of 4 or 5 people from me and the father of the parent and child companion
who were in public were eliminated on the car which has ignored a signal was encountered. He was
instantly killed in the traffic accident.
When I looked at around
six-year old son who is standing ashocked by the side, the future of this child considered to be poor probably also from the dress was worried as parents with the same child, though it was in overseas when what became, and that did not leave it flatly. Although it was based also on the status unless it was insured when the thing of yesterday's accident was told to the friend of a spot on the next day, it was the talk [ that it will be solution in tens of thousands of yen money paid as part of a compromise settlement ] of being surprised.
Although it will be based also on the economic situation of each country, and monetary value, human life still is not discount like this.
And although I started contribution in the range which I can do and being seek with whether there is any organization who is supporting the child orphaned in a traffic accident of Asia.
I
desided and established the specific nonprofit authorization corporation Asian Children orphaned by Traffic accidents Support Association(ACTAS) for the common purpose of child-orphaned by traffic accident support of Asian countries.
